Lars von Trier sure knows how to make you uncomfortable while at the same time proving a deft hand at his craft. Matt Dillon portrays the worst of humanity - a cruel, sadistic serial killer as we follow five of his random kills as told to a guide that, it turns out, is leading him to a literal hell. Violent and unflinching in its depiction of one man's depravity - it also takes weird tangents into themes of architecture, hunting and mortality but is exceedingly grim overall. Still, I have to admire the effort even as uncomfortable as it makes you feel though, much like Antichrist, isn't exactly one I will be revisiting any time soon.
