A lot funnier and smarter than the trailers made it look. Parts still left me yearning for when Pixar was on top of the world, but "Hoppers" provides enough chuckles and thoughtful messages about taking chances on trust, friendship, and compromising to offer something more than I've gotten accustomed to in recent years.
