I couldn't decide who I liked more: the fantastic Elizabeth Moss as the tormented gothic writer, or the outstanding Michael Stuhlbarg as her domineering and emotionally manipulative husband. Mixing together common themes of Jackson's real work and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?," this fictionalized biopic presents an uncomfortable look at its reclusive author and how she likely viewed the world around her.
