"The Irishman" for dummies and a hate crime against all things Scorsese. "Capone" is a tripe portrait of a decrepit gangster's decline without any cinematic inspiration or genius. There's no doubt that Tom Hardy is a great actor, but he shits the bed here (literally) and his portrayal of Al Capone, which is like Vito Corleone doing a Beetlejuice impression, is just as humiliating as his ineffectual role in "Venom."
