Love is All You Need (2013) R For Ida (Trine Dyrholm), life has not been going so well. She is just getting over a battle with cancer, her son is about to be shipped overseas with the military, and she finds out her husband of many years is having an affair with a younger woman. On top of this, she must travel to Italy to see her only daughter get married where she meets the father of the groom, Philip (Pierce Brosnan), a man who seems to be mad at everyone and everything. With romance in the air, will Ida find it in Italy? Finally, we have a romantic drama for adults. This is an entertaining film where you fall in love with Italy and Ida and Philip as they try and survive a wedding that seemingly could fall apart at any minute. Brosnan does a good job as a man who, at first, we don’t like, but as the film progresses, we get to like more and more. But it’s Dyrholm’s film, and she runs away with it. She is fantastic in the part, and her performance makes us want to help her find love and happiness. There is a nice twist at the end of this film, a film that will make you want to move to Italy and fall in love. My Rating: Full Price
