Jack the Giant Slayer

Jack the Giant Slayer, from the talented director Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men, X2), is a dreadfully dull and soulless film. Its attempt at achieving an exhilarating spectacle is a pretty bad failing, as Singer fills the screen with overblown, unconvincing CGI and giants that are about as digitally ugly as those transformers. The film lacks genuine excitement and fails to provide these poorly developed characters with much color or depth. I was hoping for some fun out of this film - but ultimately it's a boring, bland, lifeless piece of crap.
