The craziest animated Batman movie yet features samurai monkeys, time travel, and castle sized transformers. The fluid animation is gorgeously detailed. The film has a lot of creativity and fun with redesigning Batman’s enemies and the Feudal Japanese setting is beautifully rendered. The voice acting is mostly standard but Tony Hale (Arrested Development) is a shockingly good choice for the role of Joker. It’s not a boring watch but the plot doesn’t do much else besides “save the day”.
