Blackmail review

Alice White (Anny Ondra) meets Mr. Crewe (Cyril Ritchard). Crewe tries to manipulate her but was able to use a knife. Tracey (Donald Calthrop) tries to blackmail Alice and Detective Frank Webber (John Longden). Something unexpected occurs before Alice divulges everything. This film shows potential brilliance of the directors story telling and directing abilities. Only reservation I had was the score, snail pace and a better antagonist. Blackmail is a decent thriller which starts out as a silent film. Watch the cameo when a boy bothers the strangers hat.
