World's Greatest Dad

Difficult To Say...

This movie. Yeah, I just don't know about this movie. In all honesty, it kind of made me a little sick; it was just so uncomfortable and it was especially difficult to view after the somewhat recent death of Robin Williams. The connections between the movie and his eventual suicide are much too apparent to sit well with me. God, sometimes you could just look at his face, like that hopeless, beaten down by the world face, and everything would just hurt. It makes you wonder if he even had to stretch himself all that much to play the role of someone so depressed. The film's look at how humans romanticize the dead isn't really a new concept but I think it was well represented here, even if had its choppy moments here and there. The end scene with his next door neighbor and that kid Andrew has to be one of my favorite endings to a movie ever.
