Plot: I Believe in Unicorns follows 16-year-old Davina, who escapes her mundane
life caring for her disabled mother in Athens, GA, by retreating into a
rich fantasy world. She falls for an older, rebellious skate-punk named
Sterling and runs away with him on a road trip, only to discover that her
romantic fairy tale quickly turns into a volatile, abusive nightmare.
