Looking forward to it after seeing the trailer.

In Bruges

Last post on 07/21/09 at 01:33 PM CT by byte101

I finally saw it today, which is weird 'cause I'm Belgian and loved all the Belgium jokes.  Is there something wrong with me...? ;)I thought Colin Farrell's performance was great, very funny but very touching at the same time.  Flemish Belgian people have a very different accent than that spoken by the actors in the movie though, but I'm sure nobody outside of Belgium would notice that.

I read that it is supposed to come out on DVD on 10/27/09.

Is this on DVD already or how did you see it?

Drama/Mex

Last post on 06/22/09 at 09:20 PM CT by Caroline

This is the first feature released by the rising director Gerardo Naranjo. As a first film with a small budget, this a wonderful display of potential for future works with a higher budget and experience level. This film holds attention but sequence is slightly jarring. The main negative point of this film is the ending. In summation, this film is well worth watching.

This has been getting absolute rave reviews.  Its too bad that I am sure I will be let down....now.  Oh well - here is still hoping!

Watchmen

Last post on 06/07/09 at 03:40 PM CT by Videofreak

I agree, it's not a film you can sit down and watch lightly, but I think it works well.  It's good to see an alternative Super Hero movie.  Rorschach is by far the best character, poor guy!

The Wrestler (2008)

Last post on 05/16/09 at 09:48 AM CT by Bob Stone

That's tough because they both leave you with two completley different feeling, Rocky leaving you feeling uplifted and triumphant, whereas the Wrestler left me cold and bummed. I would actually go with the Wretler overall, though

S. Darko

Last post on 05/15/09 at 05:10 PM CT by Austin Shagwell

I just watched it last nite. It wasn't AS bad as i thought it would be. But it was definately SEVERELY ok. If it had nothing to with Donnie Darko, it would have had a chance to be good; but, with that being said, if it had nothing to do with DD, it would clearly had been a rip off. Also, it was entirely too dependent on viewers seeing the first movie, there was absolutely no explanation for any of the "bizare" things happening.Oh, i did like the soundtrack. & i was pleasently …

Looks pretty good but could also be really cheap with really cheap special effects.

Anyone seen this yet?

Obsessed (2009)

Last post on 05/05/09 at 07:58 PM CT by Wannabeusmc_2007

Beyonce is a very talented performer... she's one of my favorite matter of fact BUT her acting in this movie was beyond bad. Thank God Ali Larter was in the movie (she made the movie worth watching to me). The writers could have really done something with this movie but It just seemed like a very bad version of fatal attraction.

Twilight (2008)

Last post on 04/23/09 at 10:29 AM CT by Dana

Twilight, twilight, I was a lottle bored, this movie to me was pumped up to much. It was an ok movie, I couldn;t watch it twice. It is the same ole kinda vampire fall in love story with a mortal person. The only good thing was it was a modern day story and setting. There were really no action and fighting scenes. I really didn't like it. I will give it a 2/5. But again that's just my opinion. you will probably be better off reading the book.

Synecdoche, New York

Thats prety much what I came up with, that it was all just a fable of his mind, except for the wife leaving him with the child. & I think that his theater piece was just what he wished his life could have been, or something like that, I almost want to watch it again just to figure out what ws going on.Im slightly anoyed/ embaresed, because i haven't put this much thought into a movie since Donnie Darko.

I still love Kirk Cameron. Always will. :-)

Gomorrah ( Gomorra )

Last post on 03/20/09 at 12:00 PM CT by GJ81

I've seen this movie. I feel like i've missed the punchline to a joke everybody finds hilarious. I thought it started really well, but somewhere around the 3rd act mark, I began to lose interest. Its one i'll have to watch again at some point. But critically this film had such good reviews here in the UK.

Dancer in the Dark (2000)

Last post on 03/18/09 at 06:06 PM CT by Austin Shagwell

I kinda loved it.and im still not sure if I sould be ashamed or proud of it.I, personally love Björk & her music, I thought her acting was surpriningly good, not great, but good.I was expecting a freaky-weird-trainwreck, but there was emotion, & darkness, & power.idk, I just have a warped ming like that I guess.

America's Sweethearts

Last post on 03/13/09 at 05:22 PM CT by Charlie van Roden

This movie is about a pair of broken up american sweethearts (John Cusack and Catherine Zeta Jones). John plays Eddie and Catherine plays Gwen. Eddie's agent, Lee (Billy Crystal), tries to get them back together with the help of Gwen's sister, Kiki (Julia Roberts), because the latest film's director, played by Christopher Walken, is holding the film captive. Once everything goes according to plan, what would happen if Kiki has a few feelings hidden in the closet about her sister's ex-sweetheart?

Quills (2000)

I agree, this is a wicked movie. Ironic that the father of sadism should have ended up tortured...

Funny Girl (1968)

This is an absolute classic and a must see.

Appaloosa (2008)

Last post on 03/10/09 at 06:37 PM CT by B Movie

Ed Harris stars in and directed this wonderful adaptation of the Robert Parker novel, Appaloosa. Ed tried to interest Hollywood moguls in producing it but they don't like westerns so he made it himself, like Costner staring in, directing, and putting up the money for Open Range because Hollywood wouldn't touch it. It would be politically incorrect to delve into why Hollywood won't make westerns. Appaloosa was filmed in Texas and New Mexico so it looks, feels, like the real thing - and it …

Revolutionary Road

Last post on 03/10/09 at 04:28 PM CT by Austin Shagwell

Personally, i found this movie to be severely OK.
i thought Kate Winslet's performance was good, but overrated.
i also thought (and i might be the only person in America to think this) that Michael Shannon deserved the oscar more than Heath Ledger.

The House Bunny

Last post on 03/10/09 at 10:25 AM CT by B Movie

I thought it was great for what it is, and Emma Stone is the real star she is going to be huge.

Slumdog Millionaire

Last post on 03/10/09 at 06:28 AM CT by Steve

I thought it was OK but a bit tedious and predictable. After the clever premise sinks in it was very average and too long.

The Haunting of Molly Hartley

Last post on 03/09/09 at 08:33 PM CT by Austin Shagwell

yeah, the movie sucked.& it (the ending) was slightly confusing at first.it was as if they made it open for a sequel, just in case people actually wanted to go see chace crawford & anna lyne mccord.epic fail.
