Same Ideas, Different Perspective

A continuation of the ideas in the first one. This is the only thing in common. The film streatches those ideas to new areas and leaves more questions than the first. But, just like the first, it is unique and emotional. The change of the title character to that of the manipulated dead was great and made for a different experience. The characters are individual and have their own problems. Maybe not as captivating as the first, but still worthy. Those who have watched the first many times and understand it well enough, will like this more than others.

I just watched it last nite. It wasn't AS bad as i thought it would be. But it was definately SEVERELY ok. If it had nothing to with Donnie Darko, it would have had a chance to be good; but, with that being said, if it had nothing to do with DD, it would clearly had been a rip off. Also, it was entirely too dependent on viewers seeing the first movie, there was absolutely no explanation for any of the "bizare" things happening.
Oh, i did like the soundtrack. & i was pleasently surprised with the CW boys (James Lafferty & Ed Westwick) performances.

American Psycho also got a truly horrendous sequel starring Capt. Kirk and Mila from that 70's show. Lesser studios sometimes really suck when they can afford to buy rights. What's worse is the curiosity that allows these studios to make money when it is only available at Hollywood Video and Blockbuster. Choke! Resist!
