When i saw that The dark Knight Rises was released in the movie theaters en i saw the trailer, my first thought was danm i want to see this movie so much :0 but maybe its useful that i watch the second one again.
And after i did that and i went to this one i must say i fell in love with the batman movies. I watched the first one when i was like 14 or so and i liked it but then i wasn't that into movies as i am know and now that i am i think its a shame that this serie is over but still i think this is an good and epic ending for this serie.

This movie had a lot of surprises in it. I wont spoil it but i was so fixed on one bad guy and i was sure that he was the one that i dint see the signs of the one that was actually the master mind and when i found out my mind was blown.
And i …

LOTS OF SPOILERS!!!

Probably the best film of the year. But, it doesn't live up to the precedent that The Dark Knight set. The acting is top-notch, as always, but the screenplay I found utterly predictable with one exception, the reveal of Talia Al Ghul. However, my wife called it as we were sitting there, so, I guess it was predictable as well. But, my biggest beef, with the film is the end when John Blake, whose real first name is revealed to be Robin. What crap! Not, that I'm a huge fan of the comic, I'm not really a comic book fan at all, but I do know a lot of the mythology surrounding these characters portrayed in film, especcially the X-Men and Batman and nowhere does it ever mention a Gotham police officer becoming Robin. The Nolans have stayed true to the original source material for the …

Great - But Just Too Long

The Dark Knight Rise is great but flawed movie. The excellently high production, acting and directing is slightly marred by a script which is over-complicated, bloated and not entirely believable. There is also a problem with the soundtrack, with the incessant music making it difficult to make out everything that is being said by the actors.
At more than two-and-a-half hours, this film is just too long. It takes ages before we finally get to the final showdown between Bane and Batman; by then my bum was well-and-truly numb. But that last half hour is terrific: the action is breathless and non-stop.
Earlier on, things happen in the plot that just don't make any sense: instead of killing Batman when he has the opportunity, Bane imprisons him in a jail where there are apparently no guards …

Spectacular finish to the batman series

Everytime, I heard the chant of rise, I was very desperate to see the rise of the knight. To be precise, the dark knight rises is the best way a superhero saga ends. It is the best of the endings I have seen in any superhero movie. Christopher Nolan knows what is in there for fans and normal viewers. This is not a cataclysm based popcorn ride, like general summer movies, but it is deep and explains that even characters are to be cared amidst the giant air craft called the bat hovers above with rocket missiles following it. Yes it has action, and loads of smartly executed set pieces. But it is more human and gives the real depth and dark story of a man turned knight. This is where Nolan excels. He sets up the premise and gets the main ones at times most needed. With a runtime extending …

Review: The Dark Knight Rises

It's finally here! The conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy has finally hit the mainstream theaters. It is The Dark Knight Rises, which I'm 99.9% sure most of you have already heard of. This film wraps up director Chris Nolan's brilliant bat-trilogy in the most satisfying way possible, leaving you with a movie that has its imperfections, but are made up by its powerful acting, a remarkable climactic action sequence, bone-crushing brawls, a main character who we truly start to feel for, and a satisfying ending that closes the series with substance. No, it's not better than The Dark Knight, but it's still as great of a closure as I could've hoped for.

The Dark Knight Rises brings back a lot of characters from the previous films, as well as some new characters such as …

See it in a real IMAX, 70mm

Awesome production, cast, and soundtrack! I liked the ite in and some of the faithfulness to the comic story. I flinched and was forlorn at the straying away or lack of detail. But this is a long movie already at about 2 hours and 45 minutes. I liked that the Nolans filmed this with film and so much IMAX, like 70 minutes or more. I saw it first on a 70mm IMAX at it was awesome. The sound was so good, it blew me away. I had no problem following the dialogue. But then I saw it again on a regular digital screen and was so disappointed with the quality. The sound was quiet and nothing like it should have been played at. And I felt robbed that the sides, top and bottom of the screen were cut off because this really needs to be seen in 70mm IMAX. There are some complaints about the movie and I …

"There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne...

"There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne, you and your friends better batten down the hatches, 'cause when it hits, you're all going to wonder how you ever thought you could live so large, and leave so little for the rest of us."

The story begins eight years after 'The Dark Knight' with an aging and crippled Bruce Wayne. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good and is in self-imposed exile in his gloomy Wayne manor talking only to his loyal servant Alfred (Michael Caine).

But everything seems to fall apart when a sexy but mysterious jewel thief named Selina Kyle, with feline tendencies, has been wreaking havoc in Gotham and even worse, a terrorist named Bane (Tom Hardy) and his …

The Dark Knight Rises Movie Review

I might have mentioned this in previous reviews, but I'm not particularly a "superhero" type of gal. I generally find the idea of a person who wears spandex and a cape yet is still somehow tough enough to beat the snot out of someone, kind of----weird. So when I agreed to take my son to the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, I felt I was a prime candidate for "Mother of the Year" by #1) staying up past 9:30 p.m., and #2)sitting through a 2 ½ + hour movie about a man with an extreme case of fashion faux pas.

THE GOOD: Several years after District Attorney Harvey Dent's untimely death, Gotham has been somewhat successful in cleaning up it's streets, but it's those who are in charge that have become corrupt---and the citizens are growing uneasy. There are only the rich and the …

The Dark Knight Rises review

Batman is nowhere to be found since Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) hides in his mansion. Bane (Tom Hardy) terrorizes Gotham City and disables Batman. Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) aka. Cat Woman, becomes close to Batman and wants him to escape the city together. John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is promoted by Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) for special duty. The observations this critic had were the very slow beginning, lack of back stories for the new characters, iffy romantic angle, length for such a simple story and lack of humor to the very serious story. Bane was a worthy opponent but mostly the muffled voice was kind of irritating (compared to Batman's grumbles in past Batman flicks). Not enough gadgets were utilized here and the plane used was not stylish, yet effective in …

Dark Knight Reborn

Chris Kavan - wrote on 07/23/2012

First Christopher Nolan reinvented Batman, then he took familiar characters to an entirely different level with The Dark Knight and finally we end with The Dark Knight Rises - a conclusion that will leave you both satisfied and wanting more.

This could be argued as the most hotly-anticipated film of 2012, and the amount of coverage given to this has been staggering. Yet I applaud myself a bit for not getting too caught up in the hype and going into this movie without too much knowledge or spoilers. I think the more you know about a film going in, the less enjoyment you'll find coming out.

That being said, The Dark Knight Rises continues the path that The Dark Knight went down: conflicts that can't be solved with fancy tools and weapons (though they do help) and characters who have …
