The Wild Bunch
The Wild Bunch review
2.5/4 stars

Relentless action, enticing score, lush settings and realistic outfits make it worth viewing. It has it's own flaws such as the lack of character development, iffy screenplay and plot direction. Has one of the most eciting openings for its genre but eventually dwindles towards the middle. The film revolves around Pike Bishop (William Holden), D...

Thank you! I give 'The Place Beyond the Pines' my highest recommendation possible. You may or may not share the same emotional connection I found in this film, but I hope that you do enjoy it.

Have to agree on all fronts. This is one of the few mainstream films to successfully combine amazing visuals and great storytelling, to create something with more depth and meaning. And it's subject matter can be interpreted differently depending on the individual. It's a feast for the eyes, the mind, and even the heart. Definitely one of the most underrated of the year.

Miller's Crossing Review comment

I agree. It needed something to bring it to the next level. I didn't feel the hatred between the two leaders and gangs enough. Great Review.

Good review, Corleone - I think just the same. Movie could have been something more, had they tried to rise above that formula.
