Charlize Theron delivers a career performance by completely disappearing into a dark and tragic role. She and Christina Ricci anchor what is a thought-provoking and sad film. Theron's protagonist isn't likable, but is thoroughly intriguing and raw.

There aren't enough awards that could have been given to Charlize Theron for her work in this one. Hard and painful movie. The fact that it was based on real people and events makes it even more poignant. Don't just stumble into this, it's wrenching.

Theron delivers an astounding performance. I got lost in her character right after the first scene. The fact that she is portraying a real woman only makes it that much more greater. This film shows a side of this notorious serial killer we've never seen and I appreciated that.

Theron deserved her Oscar for this one! She completely transforms into this sad and destructive killer. Very dark and disturbing.

Strong performances by Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci highlight this film, as it explores the life and motivation of Aileen Wuornos. Brutal and graphic at times, the film does a good job of not making Wuornos appear like the victim she claimed to be. If you've had doubts of Theron's acting ability, they should be erased after watching this.
