The Spirit

The Spirit
Not enough good to overcome the bad.
2/4 stars

Unlike Sin City, which layered impressive visuals with an engaging, smart and fast-paced story, The Spirit doesn't have anything as remarkable to fall back upon. This is due in large part to the participation of adaptor/director Frank Miller (who is on his own here after assisting Robert Rodriguez on Sin City). The film takes the stylized neo-noir...

Best of David Fincher comment

Ha! Your Fincher list is exactly the same as mine, except you don't have Benjamin Button above The Game. Zodiac gets better each time i watch it

Good List. Mrs Doubtfire making an appearance, I like that. I still ain't seen The Fugitive, or Man Bites Dog so need to check them out soon.

Just looking through your lists. Excellent so far. 1993 was really good year so i'm intrigued what would be on your list. My Top 5 would be: Dazed and Confused, Groundhog Day, Jurassic Park, What's Eating Gilbert Grape and This Boy's Life.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber ... Review comment

Completely agree, this movie kicked ass. When I heard it was a musical, I was expecting it to be lame, but the way it was executed from the acting to the direction made it all flow perfectly. Definitely one of Burtons best films.

Stir of Echoes, A Review comment

I like it too. Under rated for sure. I still like sixth sense better even if it is over hyped.
