One of the all-time great adventure films of the 90's. This is Spielberg at the top of his game - churning out an adrenaline-packed, funny, charming, and awe-inspiring action film with a little something for everybody. The dinosaur effects are impressive and the crazy world of Jurassic Park (a world that, let's face it, we all wished we could inhabit as a kid) is brought to life with a host of technical and artistic elements working together. The cast is spot-on and an early small-ish role from Sam Jackson warns you to "hold on to your butts!"

Does anyone like dino's? Watch this movie and think again. Hopefully this kind of things will never really be possible. Then again.... I've always wondered what colour a T-rex would really be.

Those Who Endure The First Hour Will Be Rewarded

Jurassic Park is surprisingly good, and I say "surprisingly," because I didn't know how much more I really wanted to watch after the first hour. Roughly the first 60 minutes is contaminated with utter boredom. In fact, most of this first hour wasn't even necessary. If I could crop out the 5-10 minutes of the first hour that were important, I imagine that the audience would still understand what was happening. Maybe it was just my inner-boy speaking, but I wanted to see some dinosaurs for cryin' out loud!

But I digress.

(To the film's credit, though, we do see some dinos before they begin their reign of terror, but most are in the background, one we only get a glimpse of his claw and eye. Only one dino is fully exposed, and it doesn't really do anything. And before the dinos start ...

Jurassic Park review

I for one was always fascinated with dinosaurs as a kid. This is one of several milestones of Steven Spielberg. A novel based film; I felt that there was not a single figure was attention-grabbing. Dr. John Hammond" (Richard Attenborough) was like a babbling geek, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) was too serious, Dr. Ellie Sattler (Lauren Dern) wasn’t that pretty/charming enough and the vexing Dr. Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum) just kept complaining too much. The kids were a blast and Wayne Knights character made the film more engaging and believable. The effects were highly convincing, story was not that interesting though since it just tried to frighten the viewers in the second half of the picture. Having a solid cast helps like Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough, an...

One of the biggest moneymakers of all time!!

In 1993, JURASSIC PARK broke box office records and set a new high for an action adventure film. Garnishing nominations for several Academy Awards, this film went on to become one of the greatest box office smashes in cinematic history. The film stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Bob Peck, Martin Ferrero, B.D. Wong, Samuel L. Jackson, Wayne Knight, Joseph Mazzello, Ariana Richards, and Richard Attenborough. The acting is very good and the special effects are very realistic. Michael Crichton created one of the most original ideas ever. By using dinosaurs as the basis for his book, he and David Koepp created a sensation. I don't think I know a single person who hasn't seen this film. Definetly one of the greatest American movies of all time. Sure to be a classic well into the next ...
