Well casted flick that probably pokes fun at Barney (look at the color of Smoochy). Anyways, its screenplay was fresh but could have improved in other elements. Nothing worth remembering, but it wasn't dull either. Death to Smoochy is a dark comedy that tries to be funny and dark, but lacks the aforementioned traits. |

As a dark comedy, this movie is second to none. Great!!! Absolutely fantastic! When you take the world of children's charities, children's entertainment, and mix it all in with a crime story then what you have is one of the funniest films of 2002! Edward Norton, Catherine Keener, Danny DeVito, Robin Williams, and Harvey Fierstein all do impeccably well. A must-see dark comedy of the likes that I would love to be able to write! |

I thought death to smoochy was an awesome movie. It tanked in the box office only making about 10 million dollars compared to its 55 million dollar budget. But it explored a part of our american culture (the childrens show) and exposed it for most likely what it really is. Rainbow Randolph is a huge pervert and on top of that he accepts bribes from parents who want their children on the show. He is eventually caught doing this and is kicked off the air. Steve from blues clues was a heroin addict so this most likely isn't that far off. Plus it is drop dead funny from start to finish. |

Not the best movie, but wouldn't be the same without Robin Williams or Edward Norton, two great actors. Worth a watch. |
