Just end it now.paranormal activity 4. this is so far the worst movie of 2012 I mean the movie it self is slow and boring. the story is about After his mother comes down with an illness that lands her in the hospital, Alice and her family take care of her son Robbie. Soon after, Alice begins experiencing supernatural phenomena that seems to revolve around Robbie. While her family are skeptical, her boyfriend agrees to help her figure out the history behind her mysterious neighbor, but the truth proves far more dangerous than she could imagine.

Eh - the series is really stretching at this point. More of the same - bumps in night, people ignoring the obvious, things falling from the ceiling - I did like the Kinect effect but otherwise it leads up to the same "gotcha" ending (very loosely tied in to the previous films) and, just like the Saw films, is really starting to wear out its welcome at this point.

This third sequel clings close to the series' formula and doesn't offer anything new. No added backstory or surprises to be found here. It's all just long stretches of quiet punctuated by a 'boo' scare. The rest is mediocre fare, with only two creative moments. It suffers from being uninspired rehash of the highest order. Though the young lead actress was surprisingly good. She made it more bearable.

Paranormal Activity 4 review

Daniel Corleone - wrote on 04/19/2013

Nothing new in the fourth installment. The story revolves around the family of Alex (Kathryn Newton). Katie (Katie Featherston) again plays a role in the popular franchise. Lack interesting figures and appropriate character background. The pace sluggish and scary moments were few and uninteresting. The acting of Newton was not as believable as Featherston (in the 1st two from the series). If only there was more to it than the usual book throwing/chandelier falling/bed sheet removal and dragging of the feet tactics were used and seen in the previous films. Paranormal Activity 4 is better than 2, still one of the worst from the series because of its similar premise, sub par performances and recycling of methods. The fifth should offer something refreshing and look back at their …

Paranormal Activity 4: Disappointing

OracleElizabeth - wrote on 03/31/2013

After watching all of this series this one was a supreme let down in relation to the others. Less scares and more talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, all by the teenage daughter. While the other movies where we the audience were viewing the occurrences through the camera, instead we mostly see the teenage daughter. Her face filling screen after screen of her talking to her boyfriend. Nothing against the actual actress and more against the screen writer. With a house less memorable than all the others previous and cat that they don't actually use to set any sort of atmosphere, this part of the series falls very short. Only part of the film that was somewhat interesting was the Kinect. A very cool little idea that could have been used to better effect. A Boring snoozefest and with a huge …

After seeing part 3 in this series, as it left us fans with a little cliffhanger, I couldnt wait to see this. If you havent seen this one yet and are anticipating a good story that answers lots of questions surrounding part 3, you will be somewhat let down as we get maybe a couple of glimpses of the witches coven storyline however that's it. This one takes place after the events of PA#2 (not 3) with the neighbors this time being the victims of the ghostly door banging and chandelier dropping apparitions.

Not much in the scare dept however i myself was more interested in finding out more of what we found out story wise in part 3. Well i have recently found out that Paranormal Activity 5 will be released by Halloween of 2013 so maybe we can get more of what's going on with Katie's …

I was right - they're already planning Paranormal Activity 5 for next Halloween - despite a bit lower-than-expected opening weekend.

Oh, I agree, I'm sure we'll be seeing a Paranormal Activity 5 next year around this same time. I just wonder how they're going to continue to spin the "found footage" genre - we've had old-school cameras, single-camera setup, security cameras and now Kinect and webcams. I just have to wonder how they can continue to make things interesting. Still, as far as horror series go, I think this has been better than most, but I don't know how much longer they can keep things going. Even if the fourth …

Went to watch this last night and it wasnt too bad. Being already a paranormal activity fan we had been waiting most of the year to find out what happens next. The  story line does confuses a bit. katie featherston is back and is still on the devil side ;)overall the film has its jumps and bumps and isnt a bad watch. yet it still doesnt seem to explain things or who the hell toby is??? (the ghost that the kids talk to in the last installment)i wouldnt be surprised if i will be sat next …
