This movie sucked, the flying pitchforks didn't help either. It was like Harry Potter with vampires and cheesy special effects.

All and all it was decent, the acting was so-so and the sound track was good. This movie lacked in story plain and simple. Everything was obvious from the beginning, and the dialog was okay at best. The positive points were definitely the action and special effects.

Charmed, I'm sure

If I only knew then what I know now...

Had I been an out and proud young lad when this movie was released in 2006, I would have LOVED it. Heck, if I had been an out and proud young lad in 1987 when "The Lost Boys" came out, I would have loved it. (Wait, I did love it. I just wasn't out and proud quite yet. My apprehension towards the beauty of the cast causes me to be a little more critical about other aspects of the movie such as plot, dialogue and direction.

That said, I'm not completely invincible toward the charms of ...

Okay, it's a dud. But there's a lot of pretty people roaming around to make up for it. Even though it's like watching a bad episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" when Willow turned to the dark side, it generated a lot of unintentional laughs. For some reason, I appreciated that. Perhaps I was in a good mood when I watched this film. I don't hate it like most critics do because it tried to be a good movie. I mean, the atmosphere of the film has this nice gothic feel to it and I liked that. Although the ending is kind of weird and basically begs for a sequel, there are some nice touches in this film. For instance, the creepy crawly spiders are... well, creepy. And the shower scene with one of the leading ladies was kind of thrilling. Universally, this is a love it or hate it film. But I'm o...
