Okay, it's a dud. But there's a lot of pretty people roaming around to make up for it. Even though it's like watching a bad episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" when Willow turned to the dark side, it generated a lot of unintentional laughs. For some reason, I appreciated that. Perhaps I was in a good mood when I watched this film. I don't hate it like most critics do because it tried to be a good movie. I mean, the atmosphere of the film has this nice gothic feel to it and I liked that. Although the ending is kind of weird and basically begs for a sequel, there are some nice touches in this film. For instance, the creepy crawly spiders are... well, creepy. And the shower scene with one of the leading ladies was kind of thrilling. Universally, this is a love it or hate it film. But I'm one of those people that thinks it's alright. Give it a chance. I'm glad I did.
