It's been confirmed that Avatar is the fastest-selling Blu-Ray release in history with 2.7 million copies sold since its April 22 release.

The total stands at $130 million in sales combined with DVDs. That's a lot of cheddar for an inferior copy. I wonder how many of these people are going to buy the special edition or the 3-D edition when it comes out.

Looks like Bond, James Bond, is a casualty of the current problems over at MGM. The mega-hit franchise has been put on indefinite hold while MGM looks for a buyer.

The latest Bond film was set for a 2011/2012 release, but now the future is in doubt. Star Daniel Craig is still confident the show will go on, just not sure when.

Although it's only preliminary, reports say that Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, The Dollhouse) is in final negotiations to direct The Avengers - the film that would bring together all the Marvel heroes - Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk - into one film.

If this comes to fruition, it will bring together the man responsible for some of televisions greatest pop-culture …

As the huge Star Wars fan I am, it's with great pleasure that it has been announced that Lucasfilm is teaming with the duo of Seth Green and Matthew Senreich (creators of Robot Chicken) on an animated comedy program.
