Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Charlize Theron as the evil Queen Ravena and Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman. Lacks character development (especially from the dwarves), overlong and dull at times. Effects were great and score was great, if only the story was more organized. Theron was electrifying and Stewart sincere. We see Hemsworth weaving another weapon and trying to impress. The original fairy tale had more clarity when it comes to storytelling. Snow White and the Huntsman felt forced with its magical CGI and at times over acting and overload of action sequence. Sometimes excess can do you know good, sadly the same could be said on this film.

This movie actually exceeded my expectations. This is the dark version of Snow White. Charlize Theron was great. It's a good one time watch movie.

Ok i knew this movie was going to be awesome after seeing the trailer for it. It's always a bonus when the movie exceeds all expectations. Charlize Theron quite simply nailed the role of the evil queen. I have yet to see this woman fail in any given role as she usually dominates it and then some. The rest of the cast (yes even Kristen Stewart) did a good job with this, I not being a fan at all of Chris Helmsworth(Thor) thought his participation in this film was not too shabby. Newbie director Rupert Sanders took an old tale and breathed some much needed life into it proving Kristen Stewart can actually act if given the proper direction along with a cool script. Over all finished this flick with a smile on my face.

Better than I expected but I obviously wasn't expecting much. A decent story at times and Hemsworth and Stewart were ok. The ending dropped the movie at least a half star due to the boring action scenes. A rental at best and close to what it could have been.

charlize theron acting is good.no good reason how she woke up from death, so much flaws in plot.. not a good movie towatch...

As a really unique and surprisingly inspired visual take on the Snow White fairytale, the film is extremely successful. The nuanced and atmospheric world created is full of interesting visual cues and special effects that blend seamlessly with reality. The real complaint is the script, which drags at parts and introduces some unnecessary and corny plot points, and the acting, which verges on campy at times (especially Charlize Theron's evil queen.) As a summer thrill ride, it's certainly one of the big surprises of 2012 and a fun and exciting adventure film.

The dark approach to the Snow White fairy tale is admirable and visually sumptuous, but it doesn't have enough substance to hold up to it's length. Charlize Theron is delicious as the psychotically evil Revenna and is the best thing about the film next to the cinematography. However, with the lack of any romance and long stretches that could have been edited down, Snow White and the Huntsman is ultimately a sporadically entertaining but mostly dreary, and at times dull, misfire.

A more epic sized adaptation of the Snow White tale. This is a visually fantastic and action packed rewrite, with an overall serious and darker tone. Despite this route, the film still very much feels like a fairy tale and the story is true to what we all know but with many new twists.
