Our Daily Free Stream: True Romance.

A call girl falls for a client and after a violent conrontation with her pimp they find themselves on the run in Hollywood with a suitcase full of cocaine and mobsters on their tail. True Romance is very much a nineties zeitgeist movie with an ensemble cast packed with familiar faces, including Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper who unsurprisingly share the best scene, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Its script is also one of Quentin …

A very popular stellar cast consisting of Oldman, Walken, Hopper, Kilmer, Sizemore, Pitt, Jackson, Arquette, and Slater. Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) meets Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette) in a cinema. They fall in love and get married. Drexl Spivey (Gary Oldman), Alabama's pimp is killed since Clearance had an Elvis (Kilmer) apparition that "killing Drexl will make the world a better place." Clifford Worley (Dennis Hopper), Clearance dad is killed by gangster Vincenzo Coccotti (Christopher Walken), who finds out that his son stole the bag of cocaine. The couple goes to LA and meet Dick Ritchie (Michael Rapaport). Coccotti's henchmen, Virgil (James Gandolfini) is sent to find the bag and violently beats Alabama. L.A. detectives Nicholson (Tom Sizemore) and Dimes (Chris …

All in all, a brilliant movie.

Quentin Tarantino wrote this movie which easily competes with his classics like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs from the same time period. With refreshing originality, intense drama, witty and hilarious dialog and A-List actors giving easily the best performances of their careers, (especially Slater and Walken), all thrown on top of a brilliant plot line, this movie has been one of my favorites since the mid-90s. Personal Note: I have changed my tastes a lot since my transformation into a Christian, and I'm certain that if I were to watch this movie now, I would find much of the film's content offensive (not by choice, but just as a matter of a renewed sensitivity to things like language and extreme violence). Nevertheless, the subject matter isn't "gratuitous" and unnecessary like in …
