True Romance

All in all, a brilliant movie.

Quentin Tarantino wrote this movie which easily competes with his classics like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs from the same time period. With refreshing originality, intense drama, witty and hilarious dialog and A-List actors giving easily the best performances of their careers, (especially Slater and Walken), all thrown on top of a brilliant plot line, this movie has been one of my favorites since the mid-90s. Personal Note: I have changed my tastes a lot since my transformation into a Christian, and I'm certain that if I were to watch this movie now, I would find much of the film's content offensive (not by choice, but just as a matter of a renewed sensitivity to things like language and extreme violence). Nevertheless, the subject matter isn't "gratuitous" and unnecessary like in most movies, it's fitting for the settings and plot themes. If you haven't seen this movie, I would highly recommend it.
