Stakeout review

For cops the pair fight lousily and the detective skills sub-par. Dreyfuss and Estevez are effective pranksters but not as detectives. Aidan Quinn was not as menacing as an antagonist and the plot somewhat ludicrous. Some of the action sequences was worthwhile but a few jokes too childish. Had a couple cheesy lines evident of an 80's flick. Not entirely bad, not entirely worth viewing again though. Stakeout leaned towards the love angle instead of focusing on the detective work. The Lives of Others, Rear Window and The Conversation were better films in terms on prying on people's privacy. If only Stakeout had a better cast and a more utilized Forest Whitaker. So many better buddy cop movies created such as Rush Hour, Lethal Weapon, etc.
