Badlands review

A movie closely based on the real-life murder spree of Charles Starkweather and his girlfriend. Holly (Spacek) is befriended by Kit (Sheen). Sheen was spectacular, scenery as always was gorgeous coming from the director and action sequences was in good taste. Screenplay was wonderful. Some good quotes: "He was gambling for time." from Holly and Kit - "Listen to your parents and teachers. They got a line on most things, so don't treat 'em like enemies. There's always an outside chance you can learn something. Try to keep an open mind. Try to understand the viewpoints of others. Consider the minority opinion, but try to get along with the majority of opinion once it's accepted." Only knack was the pace and light plot compared to the directors films. Badlands may have paved the way for its premise, in terms of entertainment value Natural Born Killers and Bonnie & Clyde was better.
