Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole
3.5/4 stars
Sometimes trailers can never do justice to quality movies. This was a huge surprise. Mysterious owls have abducted Soren (Jim Sturgess), brother Kludd (Ryan Kwanten) and sister, Eglantine (Adrienne DeFaria) to a place where Pure Ones are being trained. Soren escapes and encounters Twilight (Anthony LaPaglia) and Digger (David Wenham). Only minor flaws were the loaded characters, lack of character development and somewhat predictable plot. The film's cinematography was surreal, voice acting apt and animation's details from the rain drops, fire, reflection from the eyes were just impeccable. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is such a visual feast that touches on subjects such as jealousy, betrayal, bravery, heroism, friendship and insecurities. One of the most underrated animations created.
