The Help review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 12/16/11

Aibileen Clark (Viola Davis) tells her experience working for white people to Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan (Emma Stone). An outspoken Minny Jackson (Octavia Spencer) who fired by the mean and socialite Hilly Holbrook (Bryce Dallas Howard). Viola Davis is the obvious star in terms of drama while Octavia Spencer brings in the timely comical moments of the film. Supporting cast had realistic performances as well. The camera direction and screenplay was riveting but lacks a proper score and better roles for men to fully make this a classic. Pace of the films starts slow but slowly picks up towards the middle. The Help is a well acted rare quality drama with a touch of comedy filled with topics touching on racism, human treatment, social classes, value of skilled workers and trusting new friends.
