A film that made a star out of Robert Englund. A young Johnny Depp is included in this classic thriller of a killer who appears in your dreams. The idea is unique and just plain horrific. Its film score, direction and plot was credible except for some coy moments. The effects, make-up seems dated, still it is one of the pioneers of horror/thriller with a good development of a popular figure. Overall, a standard for one of the best films in the horror genre.
