Very mysterious. Along with "Bridge to Terabithia," this is one of the most enjoyable (not to mention smart) children's movie I've seen in a while. Although the story did not make sense to me, the imagination, soundtrack, and a constant sense of wonder more than made up for it. Coming to this film, I thought it was going to be really cheesy but a delight. But fifteen minutes into the film, I realized I was in for something more. The absence of dialogue and the use of creepy sound is very adult; as if it's a science fiction story made by a director that specializes in the genre. I'm still at awe that this was made for kids because I did enjoy it a lot. I'm not sure if kids will "get it" because I didn't. Maybe it will be enough for them to be enamored by the splendid visuals and out-of-this-world audio.
