A very smart, adult kids' movie. The plot is pretty heavy for something aimed at the younger crowd, but it's nice to know not everything is dumbed down these days. Great effects, nice story, good acting. A very well-rounded experience.

The Last Mimzy

Very mysterious. Along with "Bridge to Terabithia," this is one of the most enjoyable (not to mention smart) children's movie I've seen in a while. Although the story did not make sense to me, the imagination, soundtrack, and a constant sense of wonder more than made up for it. Coming to this film, I thought it was going to be really cheesy but a delight. But fifteen minutes into the film, I realized I was in for something more. The absence of dialogue and the use of creepy sound is very adult; as if it's a science fiction story made by a director that specializes in the genre. I'm still at awe that this was made for kids because I did enjoy it a lot. I'm not sure if kids will "get it" because I didn't. Maybe it will be enough for them to be enamored by the splendid visuals and out-of-thi...

The Last Mimzy

This a great film for young and old following the story of a brother and sister who spend their holiday on a Island with there mother whist there workaholic father works.

The adverenture begins when they discover a mysterous box on the beach only to open it later to discover strange objects such crystals and shells.

Until one night while Noah sleeps Emma opens the box again and finds a stuffed rabbit called Mimzy in the secret part of the box,

When they start to notice gifts they have been given like Emma moving things with her mind and Noah presents a magnificent design in the fair of science and technology.

And the create a blackout in the state, only for the FBI to trace them and arrests the family, leaving the FBI trying to disclose the mystery.

But Emma unravels th...
