John Carpenter introduced this film (on TCM) as if it were the greatest thing on earth. It may have inspired him as a child, but watching this as an adult is kind of painful and pointless. I wish Mr. Carpenter had presented something a little bit more sophisticated instead of sophomoric. Recommended to anyone who like cheap, B horror flicks... I don't.
