Corinne Griffith: The Divine Lady

The Divine Lady was a great disappointment, because I heard this was Corinne Griffith's best film (in which she was nominated for an Academy Award) and had waited years to see it. When I finally viewed it, it wasn't very good at all.
She was Hollywood's "Orchid Lady of the Screen" that later made all her money from Hollywood real estate! In later years she went crazy, not being able to handle her age, and insisted she was her younger sister even though there were witnesses that proved her to be mistaken.
I would give her one more chance and I look forward to trying another one of her popular films. However, my first experience with her was to view one of her "talkies" and that film was so bad, no wonder her career died as soon as sound came into play.
