A comedy that started out strong, but went downhill after imitating Shop Around the Corner. Also I could see traces of Aline Brosh McKenna's other script The Devil Wears Prada (it's set in NY, it's fashion conscious, and she doesn't see that the love of her life is right in front of her life.
I cringed while watching it, knowing that all romantic comedies are the same. This one is a little bit different. After all, how can you save a movie where the sisters are in love with the same man? It just isn't going to happen. It's going to be WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, A.B. McKenna saved herself best she could. There was good acting from Katherine Heigl. But being beautiful comes so naturally, that it is tough to play the dowdy sister, unless she is being played by the under-appreciated Malin Akerman. Really this actress needs to have Cameron Diaz status and should be overpaid already.
