I have to say, "JFK" was a horrible movie. It extended the misinformed JFK assassination conspiracy theories into the mainstream. For that reason alone, it's one of the worst movies ever made, in my opinion.
I, personally, didn't really get much out of "the Killing Fields". But then again, I usually don't get much out of any anti-war movie. Mostly because I think they're watered down. Now, if the screenplay was written by Noam Chomsky, THAT would be a good movie. lol.
Again, thanks for the comments. Glad to see that you enjoy the Sean Connery 007 films and Sound of Music. SOM is one of the few musicals that I've actually seen performed on stage more than once. Four times, to be exact.
I really need to revist Goodfellas - I tried to watch it when I was younger and couldn't get into it, but I think with my tastes as they are now, I would probably appreciated it a lot more. But you're right, Casino is a pale imitation at best - and after watching Goodfellas, it loses its appeal rather quickly.
