Plot Outline:

Steve Martin plays C.D. Bales, a small town firechief, who falls in love with the beautiful Roxanne(Daryl Hannah). C.D.'s problem is his unusually large nose, which stops him from wooing Roxanne to himself. But when one of his firemen confesses that he's interested in Roxanne as well but doesn't know how to tell her this, C.D realises that he can say what he wants to Roxanne through him. Roxanne is a comedic retelling of the classic Cyrano de Bergerac, originally written by Edmond Rostand.

As romantic comedies go, probably one of the few I actually enjoy watching, if only for Steve Martin. While there's no huge revelations here, it's pleasant and funny - good enough for me.

I liked Martin in this but don;t care for Hannah -- never have. It is a charming romantic comedy and worth a watch.
