A predictable but capably acted sports film about the rise of WWE wrestler Paige and her wacky family of wrestlers. Florence Pugh is very good as the strong willed yet self conscious protagonist. Vince Vaughn has some great lines as her hardnosed trainer while Nick Frost and Lena Headey make a likeable unconventional pairing as Paige's parents. The film is pretty funny at times but doesn't shy away from the quieter psychologically stressful aspects of the WWE training process. It's a good watch but after reading about Paige's life afterwards, I wish it was less conventional in the storytelling department and really delved into the crazier parts of her life. Still, I think WWE is entitled to at least one good movie depiction.

Funny without being condescending to wrestling fans, "Fighting With My Family" is one of the best feel-good movies of the year so far.

Nothing special with the direction, cinematography or even production design but I would say that everything perfectly works that you rather see the film as a whole than break it down to specific aspects. In the end, the story …
