A good documentary. This guy was crazy. Well directed and good narration. It was kind of pointless but still worth seeing.

Grizzly Man is a powerful and stunning documentary, steeped in the sadness that surrounds the tragic story it portrays. The film wisely takes a mostly observational approach without editorializing, using actual footage of Treadwell to weave the emotional narrative of his story. Herzog involves himself at a critical moment in one of the best parts

Well structured and fascinating. What a disturbed man. Are documentaries that highlight bizarre individuals (this, Trekkies, Spellbound) good? Are we laughing at their expense?

Truly remarkable documentary about one mans fascination with wild bears and his ultimate death at the hands of the creatures he loved and cared for. A nature film which explores the tract of human behaviour rather than the unpredictable characteristics of the Wild Alaskan grizzly bears. Painstakingly put together by director Werner Herzog with revealing interviews and footage that comes across as sad, funny and emotionally charged. Wonderfully challenging and a mesmerizingly brilliant exercise in filmmaking.

Grizzly Man - Movie Review

"If I show weakness, I'm dead. They will take me out, they will decapitate me, they will chop me up into bits and pieces I'm dead. So far, I persevere. I persevere".

Timothy Treadwell - How foolish he may seem, but at heart, a great and lovable man. I admire his courage, even if it was recklessness. The tragic death of Treadwell and his girlfriend still makes me sad thinking about it.

This documentary is perfect for someone like Werner Herzog, who's on the same wavelength as Treadwell. Herzog different outlook on life which many people find strange, but daring.

There's a part in the documentary where you see Werner listening to audio recording of the fatal bear attack, while the cap on the camera is still on. You don't hear the actual audio, but his reaction alone was s...

Grizzly Man

This is the doc about that guy--you know the one--he lived in the wild and filmed grizzly bears until he and his gf got mauled to death by the bears? It's a very good documentary because it's an interested topic and Timothy Treadwell is a really eccentric character. It provokes a lot of good discussion, so watch it with other people! There's also some great cinematography of nature and bears.

My biggest problem with this film is Werner Herzog. Werner Herzog can suck it. He gives his opinion and analysis in all of his docs, and it's annoying. He is pretentious, over-analytical, pseudo-intellectual, and has a super annoying accent. His interviews seem contrived, his subjects seemed rehearsed, and everything seems super-manipulated. I do not like him. He's lucky that this was such a grea...
