Friday Night Lights

This is one of the best sporst movies i have seen. It brings a reality to high school sports, not to mention sports in general. It's not a normal cinderella story, were the underdog magically wins, and everyone is happy. The ending makes this movie, it shows the rough, unfair part of sports. It's a sports movie that makes you think, which is brilliant.

The Sounds & Visuals Save It...

I've never been one for "football movies"...but this one just so happens to be equipped with beautiful cinematography unique to the genre, and of course a gorgeous soundtrack by Explosions in the Sky (music you can't help but feel something to)

If not for these elements, I'd honestly have to say this film has little to offer in the way of "great cinema," and would have failed to keep my interest at all.
