In addition to looking like a series of cheaply made SNL skits, its title is incredibly misleading. While it does focus a majority of its spoof on one fantasy epic (The Chronicles of Narnia), it mostly parodies a potpourri of other genres (superhero franchises like "X-Men," B-grade action flicks such as "Snakes on a Plane," and even "Nacho Libre" which itself is already a comedy). "Epic Movie" is aimless with its satire and just isn't very funny.

Not a funny scene or gag.. Horrible!!

I'm not usually hard on movies like these.... These spoofs are never very good movies. But generally they can at least make me laugh a few times and be the mindless distraction we all seek in these silly movies.... Even Scary Movies 3 and 4 which most people hate, I can watch and admire how silly they are.... But this movie was horrid. It was as if they just collected a bunch of skits made by some drunk frat boys and put them into a movie.... There was no plot, or rhyme or reason to the madness. Fact is we had to turn the movie off because it was just so horrible we could not watch...... Epic Movie had such potential but the execution was terrible. They seemingly wrote nothing, they just copied the original and then over played it back with a lame celebrity twist or a predictable …

Edward (Kal Penn), Peter (Adam Campbell), Lucy (Jayma Mays) and Susan (Faune Chambers) were four orphans who won a trip to a chocolate factory. They then found a world inside a wardrobe in "Epic Movie."
I don't know which is more pathetic: the fact that I forced myself to watch this or the fact that I've seen it twice. It's amazing that movies like this even get green lit, but I suppose there are several reason why they the light is green. I'd also like to know how much it really takes to bribe these actors to be in these movies.
What happened to quality parody movies like "The Naked Gun" or "Airplane!"? This movie doesn't parody anything, but rather references popular movies and pop culture and expects people to laugh because they merely mentioned them. That's not how parody is …
