Plot Outline:
|
Based on the comic by Paco Rosa, Wrinkles follows the lives of Miguel and Emilio, two elderly men who form a friendship at the care center they live in. As Emilio struggles with the early stages of Alzheimer's, Miguel enlists the help of fellow tenants to make sure he doesn't end up on the dreaded top floor with the other lost causes.

Thanks so much for that information. It has been on my movie radar since the start of 2011, when I first saw the trailer. I thought that it was already wide-released back then. It's exciting to think it might make it to select theaters here in the U.S. |

Based on the current release dates - it opened in Spain on 1-27-12 - but the next wide release date in France isn't scheduled until 1-30-13, and it doesn't even have a U.S. release date yet - I wouldn't expect it out on DVD until sometime next year. There's a good bet they will get the DVD in Europe before the US. If there are any art house type theaters around your area, your best bet would be to see if they are planning to screen it.

I have to agree with you, it looks like a great film - I will have to keep an eye out for this as well. I love animated films that carry more weight - Grave of the Fireflies and Persepolis being two examples that spring to mind - and from the sound of things, this looks to join those ranks. |
