funny how you can see things differently, the weird kid and the grandpa who didn't talk was what made the movie more interesting for me. And yes he was rude, but there was clearly something "different" about him (he said in the movie that they had tested him for asperges-syndrom). What's intersting in the movie is the relationship betwwen the caracters and the psychological aspects.. for me at least.. i loved it!

Not a movie that i would recommend to may people. I am not sure what it was about it that just didn't set with me. I did like that it was centered around a child who had lost his father in the 9/11 attack and his journey to find something to helpo him hang on to his father. Was not a bad movie but definatly not a favorite

Thomas Schell (Tom Hanks) was close to his eclectic bright son Oskar Schell (Thomas Horn). Linda (Sandra Bullock) and Oskar struggle after an unfortunate event related to 9/11. Screenplay was descent and soundtrack captures each vital scene. The character of Horn was irritating and rude at times. Bullock was fantastic and Hanks solid as always despite limited exposure. Thomas Horn has potential but needs to pick his roles in the near future if given the opportunity. Film sometimes drags and becomes pretentious. Only interesting portion of the film was the conclusion. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close could have been better without having a weird kid searching for answers and a grandpa who doesn't speak.

"The Worst Day"

Set in 9/11 attack in New York, Oskar Schell finds a key on the closet of his father who died on the tragedy. Believing that this key would lead him to something that his father wanted to tell him, he explores the states to find the lock it would open.

I was not expecting much from this movie before actually seeing it. But the moment I saw the first shot of the film, it pulled me in instantly to the mystery and drama of this kid whom I do not recognize to any other film I have watched. Obviously, the story did not come cheap and very shallow, attacking from the set-up of the infamous 9/11 attack in New York. Actors, of course delivered well despite the fact that these were not the best performances of Hanks and Bullock, still they deliver well enough.
I love the whole picture in ...

Heart tugging and extremely well acted film...

This movie was absolutely amazing! Thomas Horn had what was in my opinion one of the best breakout performances ever by a young actor! This incredibly emotional story, hooks you almost instantly and keeps your heart in the story until the end. This story is of one family's heartbreaking struggle through one of the gravest tragedies we have experienced in our lifetime. It will touch you in ways you wouldn't expect a movie to be able to do. Some of the most dynamic scenes performed by a child actor will play out right before your eyes and all the while you will be sad and at the same time amazed at how incredibly well this young man can make you believe his feelings are real to him. There are several relationships that are interesting and some you want to watch grow. Tom Hanks and Sandra Bu...
