This is one of those films that linger with you and the longer you think about it, the more it starts to, well, bug you. The characters and dialogue almost devolve into caricature at times, but manages to keep things interesting.

Bug is a waste of 100 minutes.. Can I get it back?

This had to be one of the worst movies I had ever seen. Whe I purchased it out of the $5 bin at the local Walmart, I was pretty excited that I found a horror movie that may pay homage to the Insect Movies of the 70s and couldn't wait to see it this morning. I woke up early with a slight Migraine and decided to pop in this movie.. Thinking that I couldn't go wrong with a horror movie with Ashley Judd. Needless to say, this was a total waste of 100 minutes. I didn't enjoy one minute of it. I can't believe that Judd and Connick Jr. signed on to do this movie.. I would not recommend it to anyone. I had to watch A Few Good Men for the 50th time just to balance the morning out....

My First Root Canal

I remember my first root canal. I didn't even know it was coming. It was painful, I needed nearly 8 shots. It just hurt over and over. The sound of the drill was so bad I was shaking. The dentist had to stop a few times because it was making her hand shake.
I would rather relive that moment than see this movie again.
The story was stupid, the acting was horrible, the directing was also horrible.
I'm sorry if you saw this movie. I am so, so sorry.
And if you haven't-don't. Normally I would recommend a movie so you can have your own opinion.
NO, not this time.

It is not exactly a horror film. It's more like a psychological thriller. I did enjoy the over-the-top performances because it's the only thing it has going for it. The story is very mysterious to the point of excess, which made me not care what happened to the characters in the end; the tone of it, though very versatile, felt forced at times; and none of the characters are relatable. Don't even get me started with the political implications. Still, I like the film a bit because, most of the time, we are in one room observing three people or less interact. The film does not offer easy answers to our questions. I personally think it would have elevated the film if they did. Still, this is not a bad movie. It's just very in-your-face and unintentionally comedic.

Great psychological horror, creepy not scary

This movie was not at all what I expected. I came in thinking it was a flat our horror filled with cheap scares and lots of gore. But that is not at all what Bug is like. It is more of a psychological horror. It doesn't really have any "true scares" but the whole movie is creepy to watch and by the end I felt weirded out which is always a good sign with any horror.

The acting and dialog of Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon's characters was suburb (some thing I am not used to saying about a horror movie). I felt the plot was good but mostly predictable in terms of the overall picture but it was still executed well and there were lots of little surprises along the way. Most of the movie resembled a thriller/drama and it wasn't until a couple of key scenes like Michael Shannon ripping out ...
