Not my type of movie. I found it was slow, it took awhile to really get into the movie.

A great ensemble cast put into a less-than-great film. Although it looked at a lot of the issues and culture, I felt it bounced around between so many different characters and story lines nothing was really accomplished.

A slow pacing, meandering, unspecific piece that is some times brilliant but normally unsatisfying. I will say that the suspense does build and that the end result is fairly satisfying. It does show what could have been but may never be.

Bobby

'Bobby' is is huge disappointment of a movie, considering the material it's based on and the talent involved. The movie claims to be about Bobby Kennedy the night he was assassinated, but it's the complete opposite, it tells the story of the numerous people's events leading up to them eventually being a part of RFK's final night. The huge cast all give good enough performances(Shia Lebouf is a stand-out in a funny performance.). Emilio Estevez does a good job behind the camera and on the screenplay. But the film isn't about what it claims to be about and most of the stories are irrelevant. This film is ultimately pointless, but Kennedy's final speech is great.

Uninvolving

I thought this movie was mainly about the assassination of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy so I was really frustrated an hour into the movie because nothing made any sense. Everything somewhat comes together in the end so I was glad that I did not completely waste my time. Still, there is nothing much here except for nondescript dialogues about racism, committing into a relationship despite the absence of love, frustration of a certain celebrity... I could go on and on and it would still sound boring. This movie is a little too long for its own good. The people I saw this with grew restless as soon as it had started; I could withstand a lot but it just doesn't have enough to offer. It's a lame attempt to feature the people who were shot during the assassination. Even though each featured v...

Fails in the latest trend

This is the latest movie to try the muliple character/multiple storyline in the footsteps of movies like Crash and Traffic. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work here due to way too many characters (the film's synopsis boasts 22) and no interaction of these characters until the very end during RFK's shooting, and even then they don't seem to notice each other. I disagree with the other review, the movie has absolutely nothing to do with the assassination as all the characters are fictional. Some of the minor details are correct but overall the movie isn't really successful.
