Being a victim of circumstance caused me to view this movie, which I had no intention of seeing. 'Red Dawn' is the soulless, money grabbing remake that it was advertised to be. It's bad in every aspect. A poorly written story and severely underdeveloped characters are worsened by chopped-to-hell editing. Few scenes last longer than two minutes. This constant rush through a hole-filled plot leaves very little ever explained. I literally lost all interest during the beginning invasion. The only thing this lazy endeavor offers is laughter at it's incompetence.

Basic remake that sat on the shelf for so long that the (then rather unknown) Chris Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson went on to become pretty big stars - but as far as the film itself, just a so-so action film and an underwhelming remake. I like the 80s version better - this adds nothing to the mix.
