One of my top 20 science fiction films. The story is great! Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Crouse scream in this film. Color, sound is great. Yes, I would highly recommend this movie.

What you'd expect in a sci-fi thriller, but the whole conspiracy aspect is intriguing.

Sheeny's a bit special in this. Armed only with a beard he saves Earth from an alien invasion. He plays a scientist, so the beard is there to make him look more serious instead of his usual manic self. This doesn't work. Playing opposite him in every sense is Ron Silver, as smooth as Charlie is ragged. The story, alien manipulated global warming, moves right along. It only gets bogged down when our hero is trapped in an underground cavern that looks like an alien take on London's Tate Modern. It's actually quite fun.

What a Gyp

Everything you want to know about bad acting is perfectly provided for you by Charlie Sheen in this performance. And yes, it truly IS a "performance" - because no human has ever displayed these reactions in reality, so it is my personal belief that this man studied the hell out of some Saturday morning cartoons to prepare for the role...and babies, he mastered that creepy big-eyed w/ hard blink - slack jawed w/ a slight-head shake- shocked reaction & pretty much set it to default...that way we get to see it repeated throughout the film EVERY TIME anything happens! Bold move Sheen.

Though I must say this isn't so much a "film" as a bad Tales From the Darkside episode as far as production value, casting, writing and - - well everything actually. Viewing it is quite a chore, it's not …
