The Amityville Horror is a pretty good remake of a cult 70's horror movie that is scary, intense and even funny at times. Good Fun even if the ending is a bit of a let down. Topped off with good performances from Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George. |

A decent remake, but one that should have been passed over anyway. This one actually seems a tad darker, so the atmosphere is there, but like the original, it's the story that keeps it from truly standing out. |

A satisfactory remake with a few good chilling scenes, though it has an inadequate backstory and a finale too reminiscent of The Shining. Final Grade: C |

Good, and thrilling movie. |

I think this is a good horror movie. It's been i while, since i have watched a decent a horror movie. This one really got my attention and it was thrilling.
I haven't watched the first one so i can't really say: witch one is better the old one or this remake.
This movie is about a family that moves into a new house. At first sight this house is to good to be true. Its a pretty house next to a lake and it has a boat house. But there is a catch. The previous owners where murdered in this house. While knowing that the family still moves in the this house. While there there the family members seem to change. Especially the male (father figure) and the little girl. The girl can see the previous little girl that lives there. Soon they begin to notice the affects the house has on the famil... |
