Plot Outline:

In Bela Tarr's 7-hour epic, we visit a small Hungarian village in a post-Communist world. Life is at a virtual standstill as we view life through each person's point-of-views. A large cash payment is expected but apprehensive villagers fear that Irimias, a smooth-talking man thought dead, will return and con them out of their money. -- Chris Kavan

An interesting movie, and a very long one at 7.5 hours, it becomes hypnotic after awhile. A very brutal and cold portrayal of life.
