It is definitely a chore to watch some of this nearly four hour film, best watched in small pieces. The film explores a lot of innovative film techniques, including a constant moving camera, and some early attempts at split screening. The final hour is especially thrilling, portraying an impressive and triumphant battle sequence.

Unfortunately this movie pays off in the last hour. The first hour is pretty good but the middle two hours are kind of burdensome.
